In Midst of Worst Flu Season to Date, Protection Comes

GARY, INDIANA: Recently the Centers for Disease Control shared the following: "...overall hospitalizations are now the highest... even higher than the 2014-2015 flu season"(

The CDC also discovered hospitals that are overcrowded and shortages of antiviral medicines. This means the chance of even the healthiest person falling ill is high..

When The Flu Shot Isn't Enough

What happens when the flu shot is not as effective as it used to be?

Last week reports indicated the flu -- Type A H3N2 -- can not be stopped by vaccination. It is only 36% effective against the virus. While experts suggests we continue to get the flu shot, Americans are on the hunt for other ways to keep healthy. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) still recommends getting the shot, because the vaccination is still somewhat effective (a child is 59% less likely to get the flu if she gets vaccinated, according to one expert who spoke with CNN. Bye, Bye Winter Blues

My Daughter and I Snap Most Mornings

    This year my daughter graduates from high school. I can't believe it. She's graduating. I thought I wanted to do something epic to remember her senior year. We could have taken a pic every day of her senior year together but um, I don't know, that was cute but I wanted to do something more.

   My kids are into Snap Chat. So, I wanted to get into their world. So every morning, she snaps me telling her to have a great day and I end with my signature "Bye Bye". She sends me my snaps and then I upload them to my YouTube Channel so at the end of the school year, she will be able to view every Snap I did. I look forward to snapping for her everyday. She thinks it's hilarious and you will hear her signature laugh at the daily snap.
