I Don't Give a Care

As kids, it was popular to say, "I don't give a care." I have found as an adult the same verbiage applies. In fact you can let the world know with your adult version of the "I Don't Give A Care" shirt pictured below.

BAE

BAE

Jahzara Bradley: Welcome to the Oh, Girl PLEASE Blog, William McCraney. I hope you are having an Awesomely Amazing Day. Tell our readers a little bit about you. Tell them something that most people would be shocked to know about you.

William McCraney: Well I was born and raised in Gary, IN. I graduated from Roosevelt HS in '83. I joined the Marine Corp for 4years: 1983 - 1987. I have 5 kids, 3 boys, and 2 girls. And right now I'm a truck driver. Now to the good part, I am an artist, photographer, and designer. At the age of 4, I was doing a lot of drawing and fell in love with art. In the 7th grade, I started my business... selling plastic key chains by cutting out their initials. I did this for a year. I started my 2nd business when I was 16 years old, it consisted of sketching out portraits. After the Marine Corp, I got married and had kids. At this time I needed extra income. I started a graphic art business. With my regular job, and the money, I made from the business made things a little better. Now I'm a Truck Driver, Photographer, and Designer.

Jahzara Bradley: Wow, William, that is an impressive background. I am interested in your clothing line BAE, tell us how the concept came about and when it came into conception.

William McCraney: I have other t-shirt designs out there but I realize one thing I wasn't focused on a brand. I was pretty much all over the place. I did some research and realized that the successful Brands had one simple word that describes who they were. They put a popular slogan behind that word which people can relate to. So, I did more research on the most popular words for 2020, and what was trending for clothing designs one of the words was BAE. And the most popular clothing designs were bold, loud, and bright colors. BAE, it's an acronym it has two other meanings one is black and educated, the other is best aunt ever. At that point, I knew I had to separate myself and come up with my own meaning for BAE I did even more research on positive words beginning with the letter b, a, and e. I came up with Bold and Elegant.

The breakdown meaning for BAE/Bold and Elegant.
B/Bold: A person showing an ability to take risks; confident and courageous.

A/And: used to connect words of the same part of speech, clauses, or sentences, that are to be taken jointly.

E/Elegant: Having a strong or vivid appearance. Pleasingly graceful and stylish in appearance.

Jahzara Bradley: This may be a difficult question, but what is your favorite article of clothing in the BAE line and why?

William McCraney: LOL, I like them all, but, If had to choose one it would be the V neck because it's beautiful.

Jahzara Bradley: Lol, William, it's a question I like to ask people often. I do understand how it can be difficult to choose one particular thing especially when you have a vast array. I understand that you are looking for influencers to represent your brand. How would one contact you in regards to representing your branding? Are there specific criteria you require for influencers regarding representing your brand?

 William McCraney: BAE/Bold and Elegant.

Jahzara Bradley: What is next and on the horizon for you?

 William McCraney: Menswear.

Jahzara Bradley: Sounds exciting. Can't wait to see that clothing line. Please let our readers know how they can reach out to you and connect with you on social media.

DYME PIECES DESIGN

                                                              Makeup is Art

Kimberly Allen, CEO of Dyme Pieces

Jahzara Bradley: Kimberly Allen, thank you for being on the Girl, PLEASE blog! Kimberly Allen is the CEO of Dyme Pieces. I love her products and you will too.

Jahzara Bradley: How did you come up with the name Dyme Pieces?

Kimberly Allen: Dyme Pieces is a way to say something is perfect, no flaws in that person's eyes. At the time when I came up with the name, I was making handmade jewelry. So by it being handmade, custom made it was perfect, flawless jewelry pieces.

Jahzara Bradley: How did you get into the cosmetic industry?

Kimberly Allen: I started making things for my family and friends. Then I was getting great feedback from them on how they loved my organic Suga Body Scrubs and lip balm. It started being a domino effect because I learned how to make lip gloss, lipstick, eyeshadow, etc. I wanted to come out with a black own cosmetic line that was healthy and natural but also very affordable too. So the cosmetics got added to my brand because I was already making jewelry and fashion.

Jahzara Bradley: What is your favorite product to create?

Kimberly Allen: My favorite product to create is lipstick. I love creating endless colors and seeing them come out the molds. It's like a work of art because this is something you created.

Jahzara Bradley: What do you tell people who shy away from color in the makeup?

Kimberly Allen: I tell my Dymes to be open-minded and explore when it comes to makeup. I talk them into getting out of their comfort zone. A lot of women like to play it safe and stick to what they know or familiar with. All my make up is for all skin tones. Makeup is art. You are the artist and your face is the canvas.

Jahzara Bradley: How can people connect with you on social media?

Kimberly Allen: You can connect with me on social media through Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. www.dymepiecesdesigns.bigcartel.com

Fall In Love with Tranquil Bliss Hand Sanitizers

                 FALL IN LOVE WITH
 TRANQUIL BLISS HAND SANITIZERS
                50% OFF REGULAR PRICE

Washing hands is still one of the best ways to protect yourself and others from picking up viruses including the flu. But, what if there is no sink nearby? What if you're in a rush?
Tranquil Bliss Hand Sanitizers are alcohol-free hand sanitizers made with natural ingredients, essential oils and anti-bacterial agents that – unlike alcohol-based sanitizers – will not dry out the skin. (The weather is changing and the last thing anyone needs is to fight the flu with dry, cracked hands!)

Tranquil Bliss Hand Sanitizers are also longer-lasting when compared to alcohol-based sanitizers. This means your hands are protected from germs found on sinks, doorknobs, keyboards, land-line phones, printers and other places in the workplace that you’re forced to share with co-workers. So when Billy in accounting may not always wash his hands, you’re still protected when he passes the Susan’s “surprise” birthday card to you, for a signature.
Giving out handshakes and fist bumps? Break out the hand sanitizer. Micromanaging? Sanitize those hands before tapping on shoulders.

And you know what? If more people would invest in hand sanitizers and keep them “handy” in their workspaces, imagine how productivity will improve. If folks aren’t getting sick, chances are, neither will you.

Purchases our newest Fall fragrances Hot Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pie, and Blueberry Pumpkin Patch at our lowest price ever!  50%OFF REGULAR PRICE FOR LIMITED TIME!!!

Interview with LaTanza Johnson

Interview with Author, LaTanza Johnson
Trifling: A Narrative of Adversity and Great Faith (Hell Naw Book 1)
BY: Jahzara Bradley

JAHZARA BRADLEY: Tell our readers a little about yourself. where you're from, where you've been and where you're going.

LATANZA JOHNSON: My name is LaTanza Johnson. I was born in Gary, Indiana to Lynnette Calmese and Robert Johnson. I’m late 40s and a mother of five children.  I’ve been up and down; to and fro. Now I am establishing myself as a visionary.

JAHZARA BRADLEY:  What made you decide to write this book?

LATANZA JOHNSON: I decided to write this book because I realized that we don’t review the black experience in its entirety.  We don’t look at our upbringing and associate it with our experiences.  We don’t connect the experiences of our youth to our trauma as adults or our relationship with God. I find that the black community has no substance for our youth and it seems we don’t have God for them either.

JAHZARA BRADLEY:  The title is provocative, tell us a little about how you came up with the title.

LATANZA JOHNSON: The title is interchangeable in meaning. Trifling being filthy or playing with things, o people or places we should not. Trifling around. And at some points, my life was truly just trifling. The first chapter should provoke that thought about the people and circumstances I describe. LOL. Just Trifling. (Definition of trifling).

JAHZARA BRADLEY:  The sampler of your book is available on Kindle, but there is more to come, what can readers expect?

LATANZA JOHNSON: The excerpt is a teaser. The first book in the series is entitled Hell Naw.  It’s a series of four books and they will go from godless to a worshipper. From decay to flourishing. The book is REAL and it will expose the traps our youth are exposed to. This book shines a light on evil. I won’t hold back because the delivery, visuals, narrative, and descriptive verbiage will convey the experience. God will allow me to break the yoke of evil and provoke the black community to examine ourselves.
Not only will I shine a light on our evils, I will shine a light on who God is and whatever He gives me to give his people.
The book is written with chaotic paragraphs. The punctuation is not a mistake although it’s not proper English.  Over time the book is edited properly to reflect my growth. As I grow in God things get right.  The teaser is nothing. I just didn’t want to really give more at this time. I’m an artist so there’s a method to the madness. GOD WILL GET THE GLORY.
The book, Hell Naw will be released on Dec 21, 2019.

JAHZARA BRADLEY:  What are some themes and take-aways that you want readers to take away from the book?

LATANZA JOHNSON: I want people to know that God is not God for the godless.

JAHZARA BRADLEY:  In the summary of your book this sentence stands out to me, " And then, the mercy of God is shown to her in the face of the last standoff with Satan. " Please elaborate on this for our readers.

LATANZA JOHNSON: The last standoff with Satan is in a reference to a serial murderer who I got involved with.  He pinged me as his next victim. This is one of many serial killers I’ve encountered.  My daughter kept asking me to take her to church even though I had never talked about God with my children. I could feel it in the air. I took my kids to church to be baptized before I died and I never left.

JAHZARA BRADLEY:  How can our readers keep in contact with you and updated regarding upcoming projects?

LATANZA JOHNSON: My readers now can find me on Facebook  (LaTanza Johnson) until I create my author page. LOL. I’m everyday people.

The Seven Mountains of Influence: Business featuring Quintus and Karen McDonald

The Seven Mountains of Influence: Business featuring Quintus and Karen McDonald
By Jahzara Bradley

(This interview has been previously published in Back2Eden News Mag)

I had the opportunity to interview Quintus and Karen McDonald about business. They accommodated their schedules to assist me with this interview which is greatly appreciated. They were real and down to earth. Quintus formerly played in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts and Karen works in Corporate America. The McDonalds are successful in business because their focus is not making a dollar but they realize when they serve and minister to others their blessings come from that.

Jahzara: What does it mean to you to be an entrepreneur?

Quintus McDonald:  To me an entrepreneur… it is a bit more than a business owner. I have found you have to blaze your own trail, your own path. I often think of people who are buying into a business who has a proven method. My perspective of an entrepreneur is one who has stepped out on faith and built something at a grass root level.

Karen McDonald: The biggest thing that it means is time freedom. I am really big on spending time with family and our church family and being an entrepreneur gives me the ability to have that time freedom.

Jahzara: Tell me a little bit about your background, work experiences and then how did you get into entrepreneurship?

Quintus McDonald: I posted a caption delivered on Instagram. Once upon a time, I used to drive across the George Washington Bridge in Spanish Harlem to deliver cocaine. I started selling drugs in high school. They called me the Candy Man. I have never talked about this publicly. I am now able to give back to people who have walked down the wrong path. I did not sell drugs when I was in college nor when I was in the NFL. At a point in time, I became my best client. I gave my life back to Christ. I actually gave my life to Christ as a child. In the 10th grade, I gave my soul to the adversary. 2007, I gave my life back to Christ and came out of the jungle. 2007, is when I started the entrepreneurship.
I started I AM Recycling LLC 2007. I partnered with a group in Indianapolis with a group, We POWER. We would do what we call “Lunch and Lead” at Cosco in Castleton through a relationship with the general manager there.  The one thing that I take from the streets that I hold dear is entrepreneurialism. It is about building solid relationships. Both parties are bringing something to the table as well as receiving from the table.

Karen McDonald:  I entered corporate America back in 1993, it wasn’t rewarding. I felt like something was missing. I was introduced to entrepreneurship via Primerica. I started with that back in ’93. From there I always wanted my own. So in 1997, while still working in Corporate America, I had a child and I recall my mom was sick and my manager was not accommodating to me. I needed to get the afternoon off. She stated that she had to go to the doctor with her child [adult child.] It almost felt like an ultimatum. At that point, I knew I needed a plan B. That was like the turning point for me.

Jahzara: What keeps you energized and motivated? The opportunity to help people.

Quintus McDonald: With the consulting company, putting together marketing plans. If you visit http://nittanysportshuddle.com/  you will see our platform which is integrated into social media as well. I am excited to be in a position to help people brand. It is exciting to find ways and means to help our clients meet their goals.
I AM RECYCLING LLC- we help people. We help people with their energy bills, petroleum bills. I get energized when I see an opportunity to help people. Maybe I was their first choice but if [I was not and now they are coming to me] then it is good that I was able to help them. Service…being able to serve is what really energizes me.

Karen McDonald: I think the fact knowing that I helped someone with my massage practice and with wellness. For me it’s not about the money but hearing my clients say that the feel better. Hearing my clients excitement is so rewarding.

Jahzara: So, Quintus, I think I know what you’re going to say but I have to ask you… what kingdom principles are connected to business?

Quintus McDonald: Service.

Jahzara: I thought you would say that, Quintus. Karen, what kingdom principles do you feel are connected to business?

Karen McDonald:  Integrity. Every business should have integrity as its foundation.

Jahzara: Quintus, what words of advice or encouragement do you have for believers related to business?

Quintus McDonald: Integrity. Keep integrity. Acting and living a life of integrity is important. Working and helping from a place of honesty and integrity is key. Stand by your numbers. Don’t bow down to pressure. If you know that your product is worth what you say it is, stand by it. Don’t give in on prices. You know what you’re worth stand on it and stand firm on what you believe.

Jahzara: What foundational scripture(s) do you use for your business?

Quintus McDonald: Matthew 26:33. That is the foundation of it all. I really like Proverbs 3:5-6. God gives me the vision, the vision comes. I call that my dance. When I allow God to lead the dance, there is much less turbulence in my life. I rest in that. The aforementioned are two of the many scriptures. Matt 26:33 speaks loud and resonates with my spirit. His will is for me to serve on this earth. My gifts and talents are limited but I try to do the most with the capacity that I have.

Karen McDonald: Every day I start with “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” So I am like He has given me this vision so I know that I can do it.
